It is comprised of over 60,000 acres of land in 26 open space preserves protected for public enjoyment, making a preserve system of diverse and unparalleled beauty in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country. Rootid was hired to develop their new website in Drupal, create a responsive design and build-out robust event registration for their community happenings.
As the largest ACLU affiliate in the country, the ACLU of Northern California works to preserve and guarantee the protections of the Constitution’s Bill of Rights. The ACLU of Northern California approached Rootid to help revitalize their brand, develop custom features that would optimize user experience (helping their users navigate through the site with ease and find content that is pertinent to them), and integration with their SalesForce database for event management, donations and petitions in a more streamline manner.
The UC Berkeley, Department of Psychology’s Postbaccalaureate Certificate Program is a comprehensive retraining and immersion program for students interested in applying to graduate school in psychology. As a previous client, the UC Psychology Department asked us to design and develop an additional Drupal theme that would live along side their main website for this new venture.
Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative (originally, PeaceEarth) is a non-profit founded by Forest Whitaker and dedicated to empowering youth, women, and men through education programs and an online forum where they can share resources and be heard and inspired. by giving them tools and creating a safe space so that they can be heard and inspired to promote peace in their local communities and worldwide.
The Essential Access Health (previously California Family Health Council) has a long track record of championing quality sexual and reproductive heath care, but felt their online branding did not accurately reflect the impact that they had in the community. In addition, their capacity to capture marketing leads and the online tools they used to support their programs needed to be updated.
The purpose of TeenSource.org, an online resource developed by the California Family Health Council, is to improve the health and well being of young people in CA by providing non-judgmental, accurate, and reliable sexual and reproductive health information and resources.
We began working with OperaWorks in Fall 2009. We were originally brought in to redesign their website, but soon the project blossomed into much more. Through our discussions with Founder, Ann Baltz about the redesign of their website we recognized that the entire brand needed to be updated and made into a more cohesive unit across all of their marketing and communications streams. It is very important to Ann that she maintain an “out of the box” feeling to her company so we designed visual language with this in mind.
